The Manitoba Rockin’ Revolution is bringing the energy of the province’s rock scene off the airwaves and onto the stage with a live show on June 13th. Join us at the PW Enns Centennial Concert Hall to celebrate as we bring some of the best new independent rock artists in Manitoba to the Morden and Winkler area.
The night will feature original music from 4 distinctly different bands, CAR287 - a Canadian Rock band with a familiar sound - blending classic rock and 90s indie and creating a truly Canadian Rock sound. The band known as Why are an alternative rock/pop band, often compared to Muse and U2, who have a long resume opening for many famous acts and having their music spun on various radio stations. From the Gimli area; Leddwyn are an up and coming grunge influenced rock band who punch above their weight with their vocals and music. Winkler and Morden are no stranger to the fourth band, DITCH! - their live prog rock inspired shows are legendary. 4 Bands, One Night - Be There!!
CAR287 has evolved into a Canadian Rock band creating songs that tell a story over powerful guitar based music. Through the distinctly different vocals of the 2 singers Jay Yarmey and Travis Wog you can hear echoes of their inspirations like The Tragically Hip, 70’s arena rock and 2000s indie. The 5 piece band’s debut album “Looking Through The Lens” recorded at Winnipeg’s Private Ear Studios has tracks that span many different genres and has gained critical acclaim as an ambitious first release. Recorded live off the floor, the recording manages to capture the live energy that the band is known for. CAR287’s music has been described as nostalgic and familiar, but fresh. 2025 was a breakout year for CAR287 and 2026 will be even better, call shotgun and hop on board for the ride!
LËDDWYN is a hard rock/grunge band from Manitoba’s Interlake region. Rooted in the gritty textures of Alice in Chains, Audioslave, and Chevelle, LËDDWYN brings a modern edge to a distinct ‘90s sound. Their music blends heavy riff with memorable melodies and emotional harmonies - crafted for both the stage and the stereo. With their debut EP released on August 28th 2025, LËDDWYN is carving out their place in Canada’s rock scene one show at a time.
WHY
Why is an alternative rock/pop band based in Winnipeg, Mb. 4 albums, multiple singles. The latest singles are “Soul Declares” and “Glass Houses and Kettle Black”. The “Soul Declares” EP has received over 200,000 streams on Spotify. The band have recently been nominated for 6 Manitoba Loud Music Awards. Why have had featured radio play on Sirius XM Radio, IHeart Radio, Corus radio and syndicated radio across Canada, the US and Europe.

Hard hitting DITCH! finds its niche sound surrounding its members’ unique influences. With genre wandering songwriting and purposeful lyrics, they have continued to carve out their pocket in originality. Restless and deliberate their music has been described as a procreatic production of Nirvana meets Rush. With their debut album RIGHT NOW! making the rounds, the band is already exploring new themes and discussion techniques for their next release.
